Arabic vocabulary
How to say “meat of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالُوا عَلَى لَحْمِ حُمُرٍ إِنْسِيَّةٍ
They said, 'On the meat of domestic female donkeys.'
لَحْمِ — meat of. This noun is the first half of a possessive pairing, 'meat of', dropping any article and shedding its tail vowel because it leans on the owner that follows. Two nouns side by side this way build 'X of Y' with no separate 'of'; this is the owned thing awaiting its source.
