How to say “milk” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قُلْتُ أَفِي غَنَمِكَ لَبَنٌ
I said, "Is there milk in your flock?"
لَبَنٌ — milk. An indefinite noun, milk, whose trailing '-un' marks it indefinite and as the thing whose existence is questioned, 'is there [any] milk'. It stands as the subject of the verbless 'is there' question. The indefinite tail does the work of English 'any/some'.
