How to say “much” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَسْتَقِلُّ كَثِيرُ الْمَعْرُوفِ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ
And he regards much good deed from his self as little.
كَثِيرُ — much. An adjective for 'much/many' in the subject-style case, heading a possessive pairing with 'the good deed' that follows, 'much of the good'. It is the thing the verb reckons as small. The two nouns set together build the 'of' link with no separate word.
