How to say “of Luqman” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ فَقَمَرَ سَيِّدُ لُقْمَانِ
He said, 'Then Qamar, the master of Luqman.'
لُقْمَان — of Luqman. A proper name standing as the second half of the 'of' pairing, the owner that completes 'master of Luqman'. As the possessor it sits in the form that role demands, and it is what lends the whole phrase its definiteness. No 'of' word appears; the bare juxtaposition carries it.
