Arabic vocabulary
صُحُف is how you say “pages” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
رُفِعَتْ الْأَقْلَامُ، وَجَفَّتْ الصُّحُفُ
The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried.
الصُّحُفُ — the pages. A broken plural, 'the pages/scrolls', the subject in the '-u' ending. With 'have dried' it completes the picture: destiny is written and set, beyond change.
