How to say “pleasure” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
اسمعوا وصفي للسلف فإني ألتذ بذكرهم التذاذ
Listen to my description of the predecessors, for I find pleasure in mentioning them.
ٱلْتِذَاذٗا — pleasure. This noun echoes the verb's own root to intensify it, an inner-object construction, 'I delight with a true delighting'. Its -an ending marks it as that cognate inner object, doubling the verb to stress how deep the pleasure runs.
