How to say “raids” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَشَنُّوا عَلَيْهَا غَارَاتِ التَّأْوِيلَاتِ الْبَاطِلَةِ،
And they launched raids of false interpretations against it.
غَارَاتِ — raids. This plural noun is the direct object of 'launched' and also the head of a possessive pair, 'raids OF interpretations'. So it both receives the verb's action and leans on the following noun to say what kind of raids. It carries no 'the' of its own, taking definiteness from that owner.
