How to say “reach completion” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَهُنَاكَ حِيْنٌ اِسْتَكْمَلَ الْعَقْلُ
Then there came a time when the intellect reached completion.
اسْتكْمل — reached completion. A past-tense verb on the seeking/completing pattern, read intransitively here, 'reached completeness'. It carries its subject from the noun that follows, 'the intellect', placed after the verb in normal Arabic order. The pattern adds a 'becoming fully X' sense to the bare root.
