Arabic vocabulary
How to say “rejoicing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَالْفَرَحِ بِالْمَالِ الْحَرَامِ،
Like rejoicing over illicit money,
كَالْفَرَحِ — like rejoicing. The prefix ka- ('like') is a likeness-preposition forcing the noun after it into the 'of...' ending, fused with the 'the' of the noun. It opens a comparison, marking what follows as an example of the perverse delight just described. So it sets up 'like rejoicing...'.
