How to say “rider” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
بَيِّنًا تَجْرِي بِرَاكِبِهَا عَثَرَتْ بِهِ أَيُّ عِثَارٍ،
Clearly, it was running with its rider, it stumbled on it—what a stumble.
بِرَاكِبِهَا — with its rider. The preposition bi- ('with') fused onto a noun that ends in -ha ('its'), so one word means 'with its ...'. The bi- governs the noun into its genitive role and marks accompaniment; the -ha points back to the horse. It pictures the mount carrying its rider as it ran.
