Arabic vocabulary
How to say “she burned” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
رَمَيْتُ بِهَا فِي التَنُّورِ فَاحْتَرَقَتْ
I threw her into the oven, and she burned.
فَاحْتَرَقَتْ — then she burned. The prefixed fa- marks immediate result, 'and so she burned', presenting the burning as the instant outcome of the throw. The verb is past tense with the -at ending fixing 'she' as the one it happened to. Here fa- is doing cause-to-effect work, not just listing, tying the death straight to the deed.
