How to say “sins” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْتَمَكُّنَ مِنَ الذُنُوبِ،
and being entrenched in sins,
الذُنُوبِ — the sins. The al- on the front marks this plural as definite, 'the sins' as a known category rather than just any sins. Standing right after the preposition, it takes the 'of/from' ending the preposition demands, so its shape signals it is the thing being entered into, not the doer of anything.
