Arabic vocabulary
How to say “sold them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَخَذَ كُتُبَهُ، وَبَاعَهَا بِأَبْخَسِ الأَثْمَانِ
So he took his books and sold them at the lowest prices.
وَبَاعَهَا — and sold them. This single word stacks three pieces: an attached 'and' linking it to the prior verb, the past verb 'sold', and an attached 'them' as its object. The object pronoun is feminine and reaches back to the books. So one written unit holds connector, action, and what was acted upon.
