How to say “spoke” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَكَلَّمَ حِزْبُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةِ،
Then Umm Salama's group spoke.
فَكَلَّمَ — then spoke. The fa- here advances the story with a light 'then', marking the speaking-up as the next beat after the scene was set; it carries a sequencing 'so'. Attached to a past-tense verb of the dialogue pattern, the prefix chains the clause while the verb supplies the act of addressing.
