Arabic vocabulary
How to say “subtleties” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنَّهُ الْعَارِفَ بِدَقَائِقِ الشَّرْعِ وَحَقَائِقِ التَّنْزِيلِ،
and that he knew the subtle details of the law and the realities of the revelation,
بِدَقَائِقِ — in subtle details. The preposition bi- ('in/of') fused onto a noun — marking what he is knowledgeable in. The bi- governs the following noun into its genitive role, and it heads a possessive link with the next word. The participle 'knower' regularly takes its object introduced by bi-, which is why it appears here.
