How to say “tent” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فمنا من يصلح خباءه،
Some of us were fixing our tents.
خِبَاءَهُ — their tents. This is 'tent' with 'his' attached, 'his tent', the suffix marking the possessor and pointing back to the one mending. It stands as the object of the mending verb, so its ending reflects being acted upon; the possessor is fused onto the noun's end.
