How to say “the benefactor” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْعَاقِلُ يَعْرِفُ حَقَّ الْمُحْسِنِ،
And the wise person recognizes what is owed to the benefactor.
الْمُحْسِنِ — the benefactor. This is an active participle, 'the one who does good', carrying al-, and it is the owner half of the 'due of...' pairing, hence genitive. Arabic builds 'the benefactor's due' by setting the two nouns side by side, the genitive ending alone marking the 'of'. So it names whose right the wise recognize.
