How to say “the Ever-Living” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
God—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer.
الْحَيُّ — the Ever-Living. A descriptive name carrying 'the', set in apposition to the divine name to add a further title. Sharing the definite article and the subject ending with the noun it describes, it stacks another attribute onto the same referent rather than starting a new thought.
