Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the Hereafter” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِلَى أَنْ يَخْسَرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةَ ،
until he loses both this world and the Hereafter.
وَالْآخِرَةَ — and the Hereafter. The opening 'wa-' coordinates this noun with the previous one, so both are objects of 'loses' and share the object-style (accusative) ending. It carries 'al-' (the) and completes the matched pair, setting the Hereafter against this world as the second thing forfeited.
