How to say “the Pleiades” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهِمَمُهُمْ عِندَ الثُّرَيّا؛
And their ambitions are at the Pleiades.
الثُّرَيّا — the Pleiades. A proper noun, the name of a star cluster, made definite and taking the 'of' (genitive) ending forced by the 'at' before it. Used figuratively for great height, it completes the location-predicate, placing the aspirations as high as the stars.
