وَلا تَمِلْ مَعَ هَوَى الْحَسِّ فَتَنْدَمُ
Do not incline toward the desires of the self, or you will regret it.
الْحَسِّ — the self. A noun made definite by al- (here 'the self/appetite'), the owned half of 'the desire OF the self', in the genitive as the possessor. Set right after the head-noun with no 'of', it completes and definitizes the phrase.
