Arabic vocabulary
How to say “then recite” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَإِقْرَأْ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ
When you lie down in your bed, then recite the Verse of the Throne.
فَإِقْرَأْ — then recite. A command form, an imperative 'recite', opened by 'fa-' that ties it to the 'when'-clause as its consequence: when you lie down, then recite. The 'fa-' marks the start of the result; the doer 'you' is understood from the command.
