How to say “these” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ هَؤُلاَءُ الْأَنْصَارُ
He said, "These are the Ansar."
هَؤُلاَءِ — these. A near-pointing demonstrative in its plural-people shape, 'these (people)'. Unlike the non-human collectives elsewhere, this form is used for groups of humans; it is the subject of the verb-less 'these are the Ansar'.
