How to say “they left it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَإِنْ لَمْ تُسَهَّلْ، تَرَكُوهَا
And if it was not made easy, they left it!
تَرَكُوهَا — they left it. A past 'they' verb with an 'it' suffix on the end, so it carries the subject, the action, and the object all in one word: 'they-left-it'. The '-u' is the built-in 'they', the doers being the same heedless people, and the suffix is the prayer abandoned. It is the result that answers the condition just stated.
