Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they made” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَعَلُوهُ بَيْنَهُمْ أَيَّ حَكَمًا
So they appointed him a judge among them.
فَجَعَلُوهُ — so they made him. This is a past-tense verb with a plural subject 'they' inside it and an attached object pronoun 'him' on the end, so the one word means 'they made him'. The leading 'fa-' marks the result that follows from the angel's arrival, and the verb sets up a 'they made him (into) X' frame that the later words complete.
