How to say “throughout” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَا يُسَامُ مَنْ طَلَبَ اَلْفِقْهَ طُولَ دَهْرِهِ
One should not reproach anyone who seeks jurisprudence throughout his life.
طُولَ — throughout. Functions adverbially, in the accusative, to express extent over time, 'for the whole length of', the way Arabic uses the accusative to mark spans without a preposition. It heads a possessive pairing with 'his life' that follows. So it stretches the seeking across an entire lifetime.
