Arabic vocabulary
How to say “two” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثَلاثٌ، صَدِّقْ بِاِثْنَتَيْنِ وَلا تُصَدِّقْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ،
Three: believe two and do not believe one.
بِاِثْنَتَيْنِ — with two. A preposition fixed to the front of a 'two' number that is in Arabic's dedicated exactly-two form, with the preposition putting it in the 'of' (genitive) form. So the count of two and its attachment to the verb both ride in one word. The dual is a category English lacks, spelling out 'two' separately.
