Arabic vocabulary
How to say “watch” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَراقِبْ الْعَوَاقِبَ تَسْلَمُ،
So watch the consequences, and you will be safe.
فَراقِبْ — so watch. The connector fa- ('so') fused to a command verb ('watch/heed'). The fa- draws the instruction as a conclusion from the preceding rebuke, and the verb is an imperative to a single 'you', telling the reader to keep an eye on consequences.
