Arabic vocabulary
How to say “went to extremes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَالَغَتْ فِي تَرْبِيَتِهِ،
And she went to extremes in raising him,
وَبَالَغَتْ — and went to extremes. The front wa- joins this to the running list of the mother's sacrifices, and the verb under it is a completed-action on a 'went to extremes' pattern with the -t ending marking a female subject. So the word says 'and she overdid it', no separate 'she' needed. The verb's intensive pattern carries the 'to the utmost' force itself.
