Arabic vocabulary
How to say “you (plural) call” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِلَّا أَنْ تَدْعُوا اللَّهَ بِصَالِحِ أَعْمَالِكُمْ
Unless you call upon Allah with your righteous deeds.
تَدْعُوا — you (plural) call. A present-tense verb whose plural ending marks a 'you all' subject, pushed by the particle before it into the special ending used for an aim. That ending is why it reads as 'that you call', the condition being set, rather than a plain statement.
