Arabic vocabulary
How to say “you suppose” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
تَغَلُّبُكِ نَفَسُكِ عَلَى مَا تَظُنُّ،
Your self overcomes you regarding what you suppose,
تَظُنُّ — you suppose. A present-tense verb aimed at 'you', carrying its 'you' subject inside the form. Set in the relative clause, it specifies the content of the preceding 'that which': the things you merely guess at. The point hangs on this being supposition, not certainty.
