Arabic vocabulary
How to say “a small portion” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الَّذِي هُوَ جَادَةُ الاِسْتِقَامَةِ، وَلُقَمُ السَّلَامَةِ
which is the straight path of uprightness, and a small portion of safety.
وَلُقَمُ — and a morsel. A noun fronted by 'wa-' (and), pairing a second praise of the path alongside the first at the same level. The 'wa-' coordinates two parallel descriptions, so this word opens the matching phrase that the next noun will complete.
