How to say “a woman” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ جُرْهُمْ
He married a woman from Jurhum.
امْرَأَة — a woman. This is an indefinite noun, 'a woman', no 'the', and it is the direct object of the marrying verb. Its object-form ending marks it as the one married. The indefiniteness leaves her unspecified, just some woman, until the source phrase narrows it.
