Arabic vocabulary
How to say “abasement” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنْزَلَهُ إِلَى دَارِ الْذُّلِّ وَالْهَوانِ وَالْبَلَاءِ وَالْاِمْتِحَانِ
And He sent him down to the abode of humiliation, abasement, affliction, and trial.
وَالْهَوانِ — and abasement. The 'wa-' couples 'abasement' onto 'humiliation' as the next item in the list of the abode's qualities. It shares the genitive ending of the chain; the connector here builds a string of paired traits, not a single 'X of Y'.
