How to say “trial” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنْزَلَهُ إِلَى دَارِ الْذُّلِّ وَالْهَوانِ وَالْبَلَاءِ وَالْاِمْتِحَانِ
And He sent him down to the abode of humiliation, abasement, affliction, and trial.
وَالْاِمْتِحَانِ — and trial. The 'wa-' adds the final item ('trial') to the list of the abode's qualities, closing the parallel string. It shares the genitive ending of the chain, so all four nouns hang together as one description of the dwelling.
