How to say “accursed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَخَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي ذَكَرَ الْمَلْعُونُ فَدَخَلْتُهُ
So I went out to the mosque which the accursed had mentioned, and I entered it.
الْمَلْعُونُ — the accursed. A noun built from a passive participle and made definite by 'al-', so it works as a fixed epithet ('the accursed one') standing in for a known figure. It is the subject doing the mentioning inside the relative clause, even though it follows its verb.
