Arabic vocabulary
How to say “admonitions” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يُرَوِّحُ عَنْ النُفُوسِ لِتَسْتَعِدَّ لِسَمَاعِ مَواعِظِهِ،
He soothes the souls so that they may prepare to hear his admonitions.
مَواعِظِهِ — his admonitions. A plural noun, 'admonitions', with a 'his' tail pointing back to the preacher, and it is the owned object of 'listening to'. The tail packs the owner into the word, and it sits in the after-a-possessor case as what is heard.
