How to say “alerting” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَعَيْنُهُ إِلَى تَنْبِيهِ الشَّيْخِ تَارَةً ،
And his aim is to alert the sheikh at times,
تَنْبِيهِ — alerting. A verbal noun naming the act of alerting as a thing, and it heads a possessive chain with the next word, 'alerting of the sheikh'. As the first member it stays indefinite in form while taking its definiteness from the owner that follows; the preposition before it sets its case.
