Arabic vocabulary
مِنْهُمُ is how you say “among them” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَمِنْهُمُ الْمُكَرَّدَسُ فِي النَّارِ،
And among them is the one cast into the Fire.
وَمِنْهُمُ — and among them. A bundle of wa- ('and'), the partitive min ('among'), and -hum ('them'), read as 'and among them'. The wa- continues the list; the min carves out the final subset. Its vowel is adjusted for smooth flow into the next word, a normal sound change.
