Arabic vocabulary
How to say “and for you” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ خُذْ جَمَلَكَ وَلَكَ ثَمَنُهُ
He said, "Take your camel, and for you is its price."
وَلَكَ — and for you. The wa- ('and') links this to the command before, and 'for you' (preposition plus attached -ka) sets up a possessive 'you get/have' statement. The attached pronoun is in the genitive form a preposition takes, and the phrase grants the price to the listener.
