Arabic vocabulary
How to say “and in actions” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَاِخْتَلَفُوا فِي الْعَقَائِدِ وَالْأَفْعَالِ اِخْتِلَافًا
And they differed greatly in beliefs and in actions.
وَالْأَفْعَالُ — and in actions. A wa- 'and' fused to a definite plural noun 'the actions', coordinating a second arena of disagreement with 'the beliefs' before it. It is meant to share the same after-preposition ending under 'in'. The wa- links the two domains, beliefs and actions.
