Arabic vocabulary
How to say “angels” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَفْرَحُ بِهِمْ أَمْلَاكُ السَّمَاءِ،
And the angels of heaven rejoice for them,
أَمْلَاكُ — angels. A broken plural (irregular, vowel-reshaping plural) standing as the postponed subject of the verb before it, the doers of the rejoicing, which is why it takes the doer-style nominative ending. It heads a possessive chain that the next word completes, 'the angels of...'.
