How to say “ardent love” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ الْعِشْقُ وَآخَرُهَا التَّتِيمُ
Then comes ardent love, and its final stage is utter enthrallment.
الْعِشْقُ — the ardent love. The al- on the front makes this a specific, named stage of love rather than love in general, and it stands as the subject the sentence is defining. Arabic does not need a separate verb 'is' here; the bare definite noun simply takes its place as the topic, with the predicate supplied later in the line.
