How to say “be aware of it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَا يَسْمَعُ أَمْرًا يُكَادَانِ بِهِ إِلَّا وَعَاهُ،
So he did not hear of any matter that nearly affected the two of them without being aware of it.
وَعَاهُ — and was aware of it. The wa- here is not plain 'and'-listing; it opens a circumstantial 'while/already' clause hanging off the exception, so it sets the scene 'except that he had taken it in'. The '-hu' tail is a single 'it' reaching back to the matter heard.
