Arabic vocabulary
How to say “be satisfied” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَعَلْتُ أُعْطِيهِ الرَّجُلَ فَيَشْرَبُ حَتَّى يَرْوَى،
So I gave it to the man, and he drank until he was satisfied.
يَرْوَى — he was satisfied. A present-form verb 'become satisfied/quenched' shifted to its subjunctive ending by the 'until' before it; the 'he' subject is built in. The verb comes from a weak-final root, whose last letter reshapes the ending. It names the endpoint of the drinking.
