Arabic vocabulary
لِهٰذَا is how you say “because of this” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَلِهٰذَا قَالَ فَلِمَاذَا أَخْرَجْتَنَا وَنَفْسِكِ مِنَ الْجَنَّٰةِ؟
And because of this he said, "So why did you expel us and your self from Paradise?"
وَلِهٰذَا — and because of this. This bundles a linking 'and', a preposition 'because of', and a demonstrative 'this' into one word — three jobs at once. It chains the sentence to what came before and frames the following statement as caused by that point, with the demonstrative held in the genitive by the preposition.
