Arabic vocabulary
How to say “bridle” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَقَادَهَا بِخِطَامِهَا إِلَى طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ
So he led it by its bridle to the obedience of God.
بِخِطَامِهَا — by its bridle. The bi- prefix marks the instrument ('by'), the noun is 'bridle', and a feminine 'its' is attached as owner. The bi- governs the genitive, so the bundle reads 'by its bridle', pointing back to the soul/mount.
