Arabic vocabulary
How to say “come” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
حَتَّى يَأْتِيهُمَا بِخَبَرِ ذَلِكَ حِينَ يَخْتَلِطُ الظَّلاَمُ،
until news of that reaches them both, when darkness gathers,
يَأْتِيهُمَا — he comes to them both. A present verb 'comes/brings' with a two-people object welded on its end meaning 'to the pair of them'. Arabic packs verb, the destination-people, and their exact count of two into this one word, where English needs three or four.
