How to say “come” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فإن جاء آخر ينازعه، فاضربوا عنق الآخر
If another comes to dispute him, strike the neck of the latter.
جَاءَ — he comes. A past-tense verb, 'he came', with 'he' built in, serving as the event of the condition. After this 'if', the past shape carries a future-conditional sense, 'if another comes'; the doer is inside the form, and its subject follows.
