الْمُتَوَاتِرَةِ — the continuous. This is an adjective agreeing with the noun before it in gender, number and definiteness: feminine, singular, and carrying its own 'the' to match the definite noun. Arabic places the adjective after its noun and harmonises these features, which is how the reader knows it describes that noun and not another.
